Here you see Satin Leaf wood (Chrysophyllum oliviforme), one of the hardest and most insect-resistant woods on the planet. The Buffalo Gals love to eat the leaves leaving us with a fine building material for their milking shed and fencing. Large stands of bamboo offer another amazingly strong building material.
